MARINE SERVICE.
For new ships and ship conversions, Chemikalien Seetransport (CST) uses the know-how of Marine Service GmbH, which was founded in 1958 and ever since shapes the industry with its pioneering solutions.
Marine Service is the engineering and consultancy company within the Krämer Group. It has vast experience in projects ranging from LNG bunker vessels to large LNG, LPG and LEG carriers as well as maritime applications in the field of “LNG as Fuel” and offshore wind power converter platforms.
In 2018, Marine Service successfully delivered the LNG Fuel Gas Supply System for the “AIDAnova”, which is the worl’s first cruise vessel operating solely on LNG both at sea and in port.
For this achievement Marine Service has been awarded “Partner of the Year” by MEYER Group for outstanding performance, competence and commitment for the year 2018.
FSRU Terminal BRUNSBÜTTEL/Germany
The “Floating Storage and Regasification Unit” (FSRU) in Brunsbüttel/Germany, which has been in operation since the beginning of 2023, can be used to import additional gas to meet Germany’s energy needs. In a single discharge operation, the 300-metre-long ship is capable of recei- ving up to 170,000 cubic metres of LNG from tankers, regasifying the LNG on board and then feeding it into the German gas grid.
Marine Service is supporting this project with technical know- how in areas such as the necessary upgrading of the pier, the required adjustments to the FSRU, LPG transfer, and technical and nautical measures for the interim solution until the new jetty is commissioned.
